Overview

Melissa is a seasoned litigator with over fifteen years of experience in diverse areas of law, including five years in civil defense litigation. Her expertise spans insurance defense, motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall, and workplace injury cases. Melissa is a decisive leader, known for managing successful cases from inception to resolution, utilizing her exceptional communication skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. With advanced knowledge of Pennsylvania Civil Procedure, she excels in drafting winning dispositive motions and negotiating favorable settlements. Melissa holds a J.D. from Widener University School of Law, where she earned a Certificate of Achievement in Family Law and was an active member of several legal societies. She also holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Philosophy from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2006 and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 2023, Melissa’s extensive legal background and dedication to her practice make her a formidable advocate for her clients.

Melissa is deeply engaged in her community, contributing to several organizations. She serves on the Montgomery County Women’s Commission and Bylaws Committee of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee as well as sits as a member of the Upper Moreland Board of Commissioners' Vacancy Board. Melissa is a Judge of Elections for Upper Moreland Ward 3-1 and the Vice President of the Pennsylvania Association of Gifted Education (PAGE) Upper Moreland Chapter. She is also an active member of the Equity Alliance of Upper Moreland. Melissa has significantly contributed to the Upper Moreland Free Public Library, where she served as President and previously held roles as Vice-President and Secretary, chairing the Strategic Planning Committee. Additionally, she was the Secretary of the Upper Moreland Democratic Committee and is the current Vice Chair.
