Derek A. Keightly

Derek focuses his practice on litigation, both criminal and civil. Derek is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law, where he was enrolled in the school’s Trial Practice Institute and competed in various mock trial competitions. Before joining Rudolph Clarke, Derek worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office for more than three years. In his time there, he prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases by negotiating guilty pleas, effectuating the county’s various diversionary programs, and litigating cases in jury and bench trials. Derek prosecuted a wide range of offenses, including DUIs, drug offenses, financial crimes, firearms offenses, and violent felonies. He was a member of the office’s Economic Crimes Unit, and he was also cross-sworn in Montgomery County to prosecute a number of their car-theft offenses. Derek also found great satisfaction in giving back to the community through his assistance with the county’s Veteran’s Court Treatment Program.
